about
Hellllloooo Flannel Familia!
Thank you all for joining us in our 8th First Ever Wing Wednesday with the Flannel Contract!!
Now, we in the band are pretty high energy, balls to the wall individuals when playing our tunes, but even we need to slow things down from time to time. So, for this month's demo release, we're getting a little more in touch with our sensitive side in " '96 ". This auditory escapade reminds us that despite the curveballs that the universe hurls at us, a little music can help us remember that life really ain't so bad.
To pair with this month's song, the Animal has whipped up an easy peasy wing recipe for y'all:
Honeymones - Now I Wanna Sniff Some Ginger
(Honey Ginger Glaze)
1/3 cup honey
3 tbsp soy sauce
1 1/2 tbsp rice vinegar
2 tsp grated ginger
1 tsp red chili flakes
Mix all ingredients together and brush on to wings before and halfway through cooking.
lyrics
"I got a new tattoo, my mom said boo
I said I’m sorry, but my dad disowned me
Then I brought home straight A’s, but they forgot about the grades
when I got caught with a joint and, then I got grounded
I know I’m not perfect, a cheap thrill addict
They got a favorite son, but I aint that one
I do my best but, I still feel like a fuck up
Cause the best of my best when the going gets tough, well my best ain't good enough
Oh this life I just cant fix, It’s been downhill since 1996
So call me Cobain I don’t wanna grow old, or Eddie Vedder and let me no code
They say the future hold bright things, but everybody still sings
About a simpler time, the summer of ‘69
I wish that I could, make time go backward
But I can’t so tomorrow, I’ll get drunk at the rainbow
And play my music, it’s therapeutic
Up on the stage where, oh I just don’t care
I forget my problems, forget trying to solve them
When I’m up here I feel, like nothing is real
Oh this life I just cant fix, It’s been downhill since 1996
So call me Cobain I don’t wanna grow old, or call me Eddie Vedder and let me no code
And Rome can try but even he cant fix, I haven’t felt sublime since 1996
Floyd and Ramones both called it quits, even Slash left guns in 1996
But HEY it ain’t that bad
Even though the whole worlds gone mad
You can find a reason to be glad
Yeah LIFE it ain’t sooooo baaaaaadddddddd"
